In 2020 the worlds international tourism market came to a grinding halt. Regional tourism organisations had to say goodbye to international travellers and shift their focus to encouraging Kiwis to explore their own backyard.


In a highly competitive and over-saturated market, the team at Destination Marlborough approached Really Useful to develop, create and implement a strategic domestic tourism campaign for Marlborough. 

Together we launched the ‘Brilliant Marlborough locals’ campaign – a campaign that highlighted what Marlborough has to offer through the unscripted voice of real Marlburians. 


Using the suite of assets created, (including video, photography, illustrations and campaign creative) a mutli-channel media approach was used to strategically target those most likely to travel, with a message that resonates with their interests. Wineries? History? A secluded get away? Marlborough has something for you!

The ambitious and innovative team at Goodyer Electrical came to us wanting a brand identity that reflected the high level of service they provide to their customers, as well as establish an exciting new solar business in the Marlborough region.

By keeping consistent identifiers across the multiple brands, Really Useful developed a brand architecture that heroes the Goodyer name, giving them the ability to leverage the consumer awareness and brand equity built from one brand across their suite of businesses, both current and future.

Structuring their brands like this helps avoid the expensive task of establishing separate identities while still allowing each brand to have its own voice.

TYED. was a simple yet exciting creative idea, brought to life in a laundry washtub. To bring this idea out of the laundry and onto people's feet, Really Useful developed a brand name, identity, and E-commerce capabilities that allowed this start-up business to start selling internationally.

From there we also created bespoke content for TYED.'s social media accounts, using eye-catching and on-trend colours to highlight their unique product offering.
